Do people really scalp tickets at the Metropolitan opera house?

So... Another reason why I love NYC: I was on a BK-bound L last night with a coworker. It was packed, and although I stunk of onions and jalapeños, someone else was far more pungent. Something around the lines of foot and wet dog. So we have a random verbal encounter with a sassy Latina woman in regards to the chaos known as the late-night L.

Get on the shuttle bus departing from Lorimer, and I hear the same biker kid from the train screaming at the dispatcher. He had al reason to: they wouldn't let him on the bus with his bike. I remembered that he was saying something on the train about his excitement to be home after 3 days of not being there. Justified fury.

This reignited the conversation with the same Latina whom I was speaking with on the L.

Which brings me to today. That same woman recognized me while I was transferring at Lorimer. She knocked on the train window as it departed the station. I hope to run into her again.

Splat!

footsies

I guess I have a foot fetish... well for my own to be exact. It's more of a photographic account of all the grounds that I've stomped around. Different places, different temperatures, different surfaces and of course different shoes...

Summer drinking...Running in the concrete jungle...
Trekking over the Brooklyn Bridge....

Dealing with foreign residue in the subway station...

Weather was never an issue...Because I was even on ice...

Or basking and soaking...

With no shoes... (yes, that is electric green nail polish on my toes).

Serving as an excuse to check out boys on the subway....

Waiting...

That's actually Chicago... but still.

Derlique

So destitution was quite 'in' this weekend. And not necessarily the frumpy rainy-day outfits, but the appearance of more than usual homeless people. 5th ave was full of them this weekend, cliches amongst the stairs of church with cardboard signs and the occasional cup for change.

Look what the tempest scared on board.

Hiding in the bank...

And of course the bum who sleeps outside of Bloomy's on 59th.

Hopefully someone gets the Zoolander reference, jaja.
